1. Good hygiene! Please brush your teeth, instead of chewing gum. Perfume and colognes are good ideas.
The better you smell, the more confident you are about yourself. You can for sure dance better.

2.
Ladies should ask men to dance, although it was discouraged when your grandma was dancing. Being
asked is a big compliment for the men today.

3.
Cool down. If you are sweaty, take a break for a dance or two to cool yourself down. Dance is not a
workout...

4.
If you are asked for a dance, please try accepting it. If you are tired, you can politely decline the offer,
but please don't accept any other offers till the music ends. This is true even if the man looks like
Ricky
Martin
.

5. Try not to dance with the same person more than two dances in a row (unless s/he wants).

6. Unless s/he is hurting you,
try not to terminate the dance at the middle of the music. It is not worth it to
hurt people's feelings.

7. Please
don't be correcting others. The socials and classes are not at all the same. Moreover, you are
not an instructor.

8. Stop dancing and applaud the band at the end of the music.

9.
Say thank you for the dance. 'Apologize in advance' may be a good start to relax yourself!?

10.
Leave the street shoes at the coat check. Most of dancers in North America change their shoes to a
clean pair of (dance)
shoes.  It is not pleasant for others to see your shoes under the table. Also, carrying
your shoes in a '
Safeway bag' does not appear very elegant.
